The Planetshakers School of Creative Arts exists to INSPIRE you to reach new levels of creativity. Consisting of a Music Stream and a Dance Stream, and now offering Speech Therapy and Planetshakers Drama. Whether it’s for personal use, developing your skills for involvement in your worship team, examinations, or performance it is our mission to EMPOWER you in your craft, offering the highest standards of excellence and expertise.
— WHAT WE OFFER —
Planetshakers School of Creative Arts is a Music school that runs private and group lessons on a weekly basis along with ad-hoc dance & drama masterclass. Lessons are available for 1 hour weekly or fortnightly, or ½ hour weekly or fortnightly. Weekly students receive an average of 10 lessons per term, fortnightly receive 5.
Students are enrolled on a term by term basis. Terms are kept in conjunction with the Victorian School dates. Casual and trial lessons are available if you prefer not to sign up for the full term.
Private lessons are formatted so the student may work on their own personal goals, we also offer CPM , AMEB and preparation for VCE exams.
In conjunction with the lessons, students at Planetshakers are offered a variety of performance opportunities to help develop their talents. One of those being our annual “Showcase performance” – previous performances includes “Godspell The Musical” as well as PS SOCA original Broadway Musical “A Walk Through Music” and “One Night on Broadway”.
All ages, levels of ability and members of the community are welcome at Planetshakers School of Creative Arts.

Chris is a qualified musician who graduated with Honours from a Bachelor of Music at The University of Western Australia. Chris has also completed an Associate Diploma through AMEB (Australian Music Examination Board). With over a decade of teaching experience, with numerous music schools in Perth and Melbourne, Chris has gain experience in teaching students at different musical levels as well as age groups. He has a passion for teaching and it gives him great pleasure in unlocking the musical gifts in each individual. Chris is also currently a part of Planetshakers band and occasionally go on tour with the team.

Sarah is an experienced and energetic vocalist with a passion for teaching and helping students achieve their best.
From her humble beginnings performing Whitney Houston covers in the living room of her Melbourne home at age 5, Sarah has gone onto actively pursue her education in the arts. From studying music and drama through out her primary and secondary schooling, Sarah has gone onto undertake over 8 years of vocal lessons herself (4 of which were at Planetshakers School of Creative Arts).
Sarah has also studied a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at Box Hill Institute and completed multiple short courses in: Communication Skills, Jazz Performance, Vocal Control and Vocal Mechanics.
As an avid fan of Musical Theatre, Sarah has been cast in multiple lead roles in local musicals, including shows such as: The Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof and Oliver. Sarah is also incredibly passionate about the live music scene in Melbourne, performing regularly at small venues, private functions and events across the city.
With her extensive experience and a focus on vocal health, enhancing performance skills and equipping students achieve their goals; Sarah’s teaching style is hands on, fast paced and always focused on having fun. As a long-term member of the Planetshakers family, Sarah loves seeing students grow in their gifts, ignite their creativity and push past previous limitations.
BASS GUITAR / GUITAR
Joshua is a bassist, guitarist and a keen music educator. As a member of the Planetshakers band, he has had the opportunity to tour both domestically and internationally. A diverse musician, Joshua has played in Rock, Classical, Jazz/Big Band and Theatre contexts, reflecting his love for music. This love drove him to complete a Bachelor of Music from the Melbourne University Conservatorium of Music.
Joshua is both qualified and eager to grow the musical gifts of others. He started teaching guitar and bass whilst still in high school and has worked with hundreds of students since. Combining his extensive knowledge of technique and musical styles with his expertise in the areas of musical theory and aural recognition, Joshua is able to provide his students with a cohesive and logical view of the fretboard. He takes great pleasure in unlocking the potential creativity in others, working with them to push past their perceived limitations and transforming weaknesses into strengths.
Natasha is a vocal teacher with 16 years experience in music performance. She studied Music Performance at MWT Institute and as a result gained a wealth of knowledge in Blues and Jazz Voice. Natasha is passionate about seeing her students discover their favourite genre of music to sing and expanding their repertoire beyond this. Having also performed for various charity events, including singing with a large choir at Etihad Stadium, Natasha enjoys any opportunity to use singing and performing to help others. It is this background that equips Natasha to teach voice with passion and expertise.
With many years of lessons in vocals, Natasha is well equipped to teach others the techniques she has learnt and help take her students vocal ability to new levels. Natasha specifically has found that techniques associated with the Estill Voice Model have equipped her to be a better, healthier singer and so uses elements of this in her teaching. As a member of the Planetshakers Band, Natasha has toured internationally and is regularly a backing vocalist on a Sunday at church.
Natasha is passionate about seeing people encounter God and encouraging others to seek Him with passion and immovable faith. She loves nothing more than to see people released into their full potential, walking in their gifts and God-given calling. It is as a result of this, that Natasha is so passionate about teaching voice.
Chris is a musician who graduated with Honours from a Bachelor of Music at The University of Western Australia. Having also completed his Associate Diploma and with almost a decade of teaching experience, Chris’ goal is to inspire everyone to unlock their musical gifts through tailored lessons and friendly mentoring. Over the years, Chris has taught various instruments including piano, guitar, drums and also mentored bands.
QI VIN TANG
QI VIN TANG
Qi Vin started playing drums when he was 8 and soon after completed his Grade 8 in drums ( Rockschool Ltd,validated by Trinity College London ) at 12. Qi Vin started teaching at the age at 14. With many years of teaching experience , Qi Vin is well equipped to teach his students at different levels.
Qi Vin is a member of Planetshakers Creative Team and performs regularly for weekly services and events. Qi Vin is passionate about empowering and equipping his students to reach their fullest potential and to achieve what God has called you to be.
Lindy has over 20 years teaching experience, and has been involved with Planetshakers School of Creative Arts for the past 8 years.
She studied Classical Voice at Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide, for her Bachelor of Music in Performance.
Lindy performed in many musicals, was a successful Eisteddfod performer and soloist in University performances and was also a member of The Corinthian Singers. Combined with her involvement in Planetshakers Creative Team, and further personal vocal development, she has a strong foundation of vocal technique and performance.
Lindy has taught voice in various private and public schools assisting many young performers to successfully prepare for scholarships, auditions for shows or tertiary studies, eisteddfods and solo performances. She has also trained large and small vocal ensembles for schools and for church events.
Lindy is a vocalist in the Planetshakers Creative Team. She has the privilege of teaching many of the Planetshakers College Creative Stream students and preparing items for Geelong Planetkids. She is passionate about equipping students with sound technique and confidence in their vocal ability, to handle the demands of a busy vocal schedule. It is her delight seeing students step into all God has for them.
