We ask that parents of children aged 9 Months – 4 year old Kinder, provide a healthy, nut-free snack for their child. Time is allocated in the program for snacks to be consumed.

No food/snack is required for children aged from Foundation (Prep) to Grade 6.

PlanetKids programs are intentionally structured to assist your child in learning about Jesus Christ and developing a personal relationship with Him. You can expect the following activities to be scheduled into each PlanetKids program:

• Age-appropriate Bible teaching
• Fun and stimulating games and activities
• A praise and worship experience
• An opportunity for each child to encounter God personally
• An invitation for each child to receive Jesus into their hearts

No, PlanetKids Sunday services are always free. It is our pleasure to care for your children while you attend church!

Should your child require changing, you will receive a text asking you to return to PlanetKids and perform the task. This is in keeping with our Child Safety Procedures.

Should your child be distressed and we are unable to soothe them, you will receive a text asking you to return to PlanetKids to tend to your child’s needs.

Our Parents Room is a fully-equipped space where you can feed, change and soothe your baby while the adult church service is streamed live into the room via a wall-mounted television screen. Parents are asked to vacate the room as soon as they are finished to allow other parents to access the facilities as needed.

Yes, children from 4yr old Kinder to Grade 6 are taken into the main service for praise and worship before exiting the auditorium to attend their age-specific programs. While in the auditorium, children are carefully supervised by PlanetKids workers.

We regard the safety of children as our highest priority. All leaders must complete a Volunteer Application Form and apply for a Working with Childrens Check. The references and background of each applicant are carefully checked to ensure they are suitable to be working with children. Our leaders and volunteers also receive ongoing training in Child Safety Procedures and as an added safety measure, no volunteer is allowed to be alone with a child/children, at any time. All leaders must work in pairs— at a minimum.

Planetshakers is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people that attend our services, events and programs. As part of this commitment, we adhere to the ACC Child Protection Policy and ensure the training and education of our staff and volunteers are in line with the policy.

The policy provides guidelines to volunteers, leaders and staff on how to promote care, safety and protection of children and young people as well as how to respond to and deal with sensitive situations involving children and young people.

We also work closely with government agencies with regard to Working with Children Checks, Child Safe Standards (including best practices) and adhere to the relevant reporting requirements where required.
