We Win
Victory in Christ is not uncertain; it is guaranteed. By seeking God, keeping our eyes on Him, refusing fear, believing His promises, and praising Him before the breakthrough, we invite His power into our battles. The enemy may come against us, but God fights for us – and that means we win.
Life is full of challenges. The moment we step into God’s promises, the enemy takes notice and pushes back. But here’s the unshakeable truth – when we stand under God’s divine authority, His kingdom always triumphs over the kingdom of darkness. The end result is certain: we win.
When it was declared “divine authority” over this year, it was a direct threat to the enemy’s plans. Aligning ourselves with God’s kingdom means we are positioning ourselves for victory – because God’s kingdom always defeats the powers of darkness (Romans 8:37).
Opposition isn’t a sign that we’re losing; it’s confirmation that we’re on the right track. Just as Isaiah 59:19 promises, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will put him to flight,” God Himself steps in and drives the enemy back.
In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat faced a vast army. Outnumbered and under pressure, he led the people of Judah to victory without lifting a sword. The Lord’s strategy was simple yet powerful:
- “The battle is not yours, but God’s” (v.15).
- “Take your positions, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord” (v.17).
God caused confusion among the enemy, turning them against each other. The result? Total victory, abundant spoil, and peace on every side. This Old Testament picture points to a spiritual reality for us today – when we trust God in battle, He fights for us.
Seek the Lord with Prayer and Fasting
Like Jehoshaphat, our first response to opposition should be to seek God through prayer and fasting. This invites His authority and power into our situation.Set Your Eyes on the Lord
Don’t let your circumstances dominate your vision. Focus on God’s faithfulness, power, and promises (Psalm 121:1-2).Refuse to Partner with Fear
Fear is the enemy’s voice. Reject it and choose faith. Fear will paralyse, but faith will move you forward.Believe and Trust in God and His Prophets
When God speaks through His Word or His servants, believe it. Hold onto His promises, even in the waiting.Praise and Worship Before the Breakthrough
Praise is more than music – it is spiritual warfare. Worship creates an atmosphere for God to move, break chains, and scatter the enemy.
No matter the size of the battle, the victory is already decided in Christ. Stand firm in prayer, fix your eyes on the Lord, reject fear, believe His Word, and lift your voice in praise. The battle is the Lord’s – and in Him, we win.
Lord,
Thank You that the battle belongs to You. Help us to seek You first, fix our eyes on You, and reject fear. We choose to believe Your Word and lift our praises, knowing You fight for us. Thank You for the victory we have in Jesus.
Amen
