“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!”
“You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”
“You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”
“A joyful heart is good medicine, but depression drains one’s strength.”
“For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
“You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.”
“I will shout for joy and sing your praises, for you have ransomed me.”
Now may God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!
Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy
But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.
Celebrate with those who celebrate, and weep with those who grieve.
We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God
Those who sow their tears as seeds will reap a harvest with joyful shouts of glee
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy
