Devotion
There’s something powerful and very influential about who you’re with. In life, we often talk about surrounding ourselves with good people. But the greatest strength, peace, and clarity come from God. That’s why in the company of Jesus, everything is better. However, we need to make sure we have that burning desire to be with Him and make room for Him in our busy schedules.
To be in His company is to be aware of God’s presence—walking daily in communion with Jesus. It’s more than just praying before meals. It’s choosing to seek Him in thought, in Spirit, and with purpose. When you are in His company, you start to see with His eyes. Dreams look possible, challenges look small, insecurities disappear at the sound of His sweet voice. He changes our personality, He encourages us, gives us strength. If we spend time with Jesus, we start speaking with His love and living without fear.
And yes, the people you walk with matter. God often surrounds you with wise voices, godly friendships, spiritual authorities, and mentors. But those relationships are strongest when they flow from your connection to Christ first.
Sometimes we can feel dry, with cloudy vision or a heavy pace. Ask yourself: Have I been walking in His company or just near it? The branch doesn’t produce fruit by just being close to the vine—it must remain in it. So today is the day to reconnect and walk in His company, day and night.
Stay in His company. Feel His love. There are no restrictions to access Him—let every part of your life draw life from Him.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You because I have access to be in Your company. I can have long walks, long talks with You.
You hear my voice, and I can hear Your heart. Thank You because You are my best friend—You are there for me always, anywhere, anytime. In Your company I feel secure, and I can bring this security with me everywhere I go.
In Your company I am not isolated but surrounded by You. In Your company I am not insecure but secure, confident that You are with me all the days of my life.
Amen.
