This is who you are my are a child of God! I want to encourage you to stop and think about that for a few moments today. That the Creator of the universe calls you His son/His daughter. WOW! If we are able to fully understand this and what it means for our own lives it can totally transform the way we see ourselves. Being a child of God is evidence to you of your value; you were desired and wanted by God from the very beginning; you are the Perfect Creator's creation. Children often resemble their parents, right? Well it's the same for us; we have been made in the image of Christ... you resemble your Father. When He created you, His son/His daughter, He got every single detail right. You are not defined by your actions, your mistakes, your past or your circumstances. You are defined by the truth that you belong to Jesus; you are His. I don't know what your relationship with your earthly father may be like, but I want you to know today that being a child of God means that you are unconditionally loved; it means that He will provide for you, pour out blessing and favour on your life; it means that He will never leave you or forsake you; it means that you have purpose and destiny inside of you. Today, as you read through these scriptures, would you ask the Holy Spirit to give you a fresh revelation of what it means to be a child of God? How will that change the way that you talk, the way that you think, the decisions that you make today? Let it define you.

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
