Bachelor of Theology (Higher Education)

This is where the student will complete their Bachelor Degree in Theology. We will provide students with the opportunity to lead by example and depending on the skills and progression of the student train in key leadership areas within the life of our church. This year will include a tour of the Biblical Lands.
At the end of the thrid year, students receive a Certificate from Planetshakers College for the training and discipleship experience, and a Certificate from Alphacrucis acknowledging their academic studies.

From the first moment I stepped into the College chapel service, God began to touch my spirit in a way I never experienced before. It was here He began to speak so clearly into my life for the next six months. I really believe there was such significance in stepping out into something new and trusting that God would reveal His plan for my life. And it was through this faith and obedience that I can truly say that my life was changed.

  • This unit is an historical and theological survey of the various Pentecostal and Charismatic movements throughout the history of the Church with special focus on the 20th and 21st century. Students will gain a greater appreciation for the heritage and foundations of their Pentecostal faith and an appreciation for its place and enduring value in the Church.

  • As an unashamedly Pentecostal College we believe that every Christian needs to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the works of Christ. Many of the foundational texts and teachings of our Pentecostal faith are found in Luke and Acts. This unit is an opportunity for students to do an in depth study of these important texts. Students will be exposed to current scholarship on Luke and Acts through reading commentaries and conducting academic research. They will also engage with uniquely Pentecostal sources that draw inspiration from Luke and Acts. Our goal as always is to Encounter God in fresh ways in his Word and to empowered in greater ways to win our world.

  • This is a year long (double) unit that will equip serious students of Scripture to read the New Testament in the original language of its inspiration – Koine Greek. At the conclusion of the unit students will have learned every word in the New Testament that occurs more than 20 times and understand grammatical conventions necessary to read the New Testament and first century writings.

  • 1 Peter 3:15 says to be ready to give a defense of the Christian Faith and hope to anyone that asks. Traditionally an ‘Apology’ is a reasoned defense of a particular position. This unit will equip students to defend the Christians faith with intellectual rigor and grace in the 21st century from the various attacks that it faces. Students will learn the contours of historical debates with atheists past and present and gain confidence in articulating their faith in new contexts.
