Planetkids Presents CAMP RED 2009!
This year planetkids presents Camp Red. From the 3rd – 5th of July at Phillip Island.
Camp red aims at giving kids and experice of a lifetime fulll of action packed game and ministry time that sees the kids touch heaven. It is for kids from Grade 1-6. This year we are going all out to make this the best and bigget camp planetkids has ever seen.

We have games that will blow your mind, we have inflatable castles, messy games that are sure to send you for an early shower and of course the swimming pool and loads of other activities.
The camp this year will focus on being red hot for God. Kids will be encouraged to meet other kids and make new friends.

There will be prizes galoor along with the slime machine, puppets, squirt the clown, game king and stacks stacks more.

This year we have 2 buses running from the East that leave from Doncaster church of christ and 1 bus leaving from the West at Caroline Springs college, creekside campus, creekside gym.
Now seats are limited so you will have to book early to secure your spot.

Campsite Location:
CYC "The Island", 41 - 53 Church Street, Cowes.


Directions:
Melways Ref: 634 D2
From Melbourne, take the M1 Monash Freeway or the Princes Highway to Dandenong, follow the signs for the Cranbourne/Phillip Island turnoff. Travel along the South Gippsland Highway through Cranbourne and Tooradin. This then becomes the Bass Highway. Continue travelling through Grantville and turn right at the Anderson roundabout. Go across the bridge at San Remo and you're on the island!


Buses:
Buses will be leaving from the following locations:
WEST: Caroline Springs College (Creekside Campus) - The Crossing, Caroline Springs (Melways Ref: 356 G10)
EAST: Doncaster Church of Christ (Melways Ref: 33 D12)

Meet at the above venues at 3:30pm on the 3rd of July. Kids can be picked up after the 3pm Church service on Sunday 5th of July at Dallas Brooks Hall, at the approximate finish time of 5pm. Seats are limited so get your registration form and payment in early to secure your seat. (Cost of bus is included in camp cost)


Please Note:
Dinner is not provided on the Friday night. Please provide a cut dinner for your child to eat upon arrival at the camp.


Camp Red Cost:
1 Child: $130.
2 Children (same family): $125 each.
3 Children (same family): $120 each.


What To Bring:
Warm, suitable clothing, waterproof jacket, closed shoes, sun hat, sunscreen, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow and a Bible.


What NOT To Bring:
Money, jewellery, mobile phones, iPods etc.

Frequently asked questions:

What time and where will I need to drop my Children off for Camp?              
Children should be dropped off by 3.30pm on the 3rd of July at the following Bus departure locations.
West: Caroline Springs College, Creek side campus. The Crossing, Caroline Springs (Ref: 356-G10)
East: Doncaster Church of Christ (Ref: 33-D12)

Is the bus cost included in the registration?
Yes, the cost of the bus to and from camp is included in the overall registration fee. However, there are limited seats available on each bus. Therefore seats will need to be booked as soon as possible.

All planet kids leaders have Working with Children and Police Checks. They have also been trained on child protection and safety.

How closely will my children be supervised?
All children will be supervised by a minimum of two leaders at all times throughout camp.

What do my children need to bring?
Your children will need to bring warm suitable clothing, a water proof jacket, closed shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen, towel, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow, note pad and Bible.

What if my child requires medication?
Please indicate on your registration form any medical conditions that your child may have or any medication they are currently on. Prior to the camp you will receive a phone call from the camp nurse to discuss an action plan and care of you child.
When you drop off your child at the bus stop, please ensure that you speak to the bus coordinator to communicate any instructions and the handing over of the medication in a clearly labeled bag.


Can my child bring valuables to camp?
We strongly advise that children do not bring expensive items to camp ie: mobile phones, ipods and jewelry.

 

Does my child need money on camp?
No, your children will not need any money on camp.

Do I need to provide food for my children?
Children will be required to bring their own cut dinner only on the Friday night, as all other meals will be provided for the rest of camp.

Will my child be swimming?

Since this year camp is in Winter the children will not be swimming.

Will my child be able to shower on camp?
There will be an allocated showering time period before dinner on Saturday evening where children can shower. Please note that leaders will not be taking showers at this time.


Does my child have to participate in every activity?
We encourage children to be involved in all camp activities, however it is up to the children to decide if they will participate in the extreme sports and activities ie: the slime machine and extreme mega games.

What about sleeping arrangements for camp?
Children will be assigned in to dorms and rooms, our Leaders will sleep in an adjoining room to the children.

Where and when do I collect my child on Sunday?
You can collect your child after the 3pm service from Planetkids at Dallas Brooks Hall at approximately 4.50pm.
