AUGUST 2007 - SINGAPORE/MALAYSIA TOUR

 

From Nic’s perspective….

 

DAY 1
I’m so blessed to be a part of the team to minister in Singapore and Malaysia. Liz and I meet at the airport, our excitement to get to Singapore and join the rest of the team is soon squashed when our flight is delayed by 3.5 hours! We eventually arrive to a hot and humid Singapore very early the next morning. 

 

DAY 3
4am the alarm goes off…4AM!! We have an early morning flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Only 3 hours sleep means we’re dozing off in the hotel lobby, on the bus to the airport, in the departure lounge and of course on the plane!

We head straight to the venue for set up, sound check and rehearsal.  The great thing about being so incredibly exhausted is that we are totally reliant on God’s strength to get us through!

It’s an incredible afternoon of Planet Worship. People in Malaysia are so hungry for the presence of God. Our elective sessions (worship, band, singers and production) give a great opportunity to share more personally the heart of our ministry and team.

The night meeting goes off the scale! The building is packed, people are squashed in everywhere and everyone is rising to new levels in praise and worship, not even a power failure can stop us! It turned into an impromptu praise time with just the drums – awesome! Pastor Matt preached a powerful message, 113 first time decisions! Thank you Jesus!

It’s a mad time of autographs and photos after the meeting then it’s time to eat! We’re taken to traditional Mamuk – a huge feast of Malaysian curries, satay (yum!) and seafood. There’s so much delicious food and so little room in my tummy!

 

DAY 5
Ah! A much needed sleep in! We’re going home today, we have just a few hours to finish some last minute shopping. Early afternoon we fly back to Singapore altogether and from there our interstate team members fly home while the rest of us sit or sleep through an all night flight back to Melbourne. It’s good to be home even if it is 4am in the morning! It’s been another incredible trip where God has moved powerfully!
